running

Run! Just run. Right now. Who cares about the clothes you are wearing? Don't worry about the job or the checklist of To-Dos that grows exponentially. Run. The pumping air and the racing blood will make everything sync and work.

I have time for the gym this weekend!

ack

one day
i will
have time

Maybe.

03 September 2009

lunch!

oh lunch time
you skinny bitch, you
60 times 60 to get
my other work done
never enough

Oops. I'm late. Sorry.

end of the

jessie spano rears her hydra head
no time
never time
perfect plans thwarted by imperfect
roads buses schedules
and three more things to check off
before bed
or not

can i stay awake
or get up in the morning
how much time do i really need
what is flexibility

excited suns will set over lingering moons
and songs will wait until
ripening time gives them their cue
tomorrow comes without care
of a list

bodies beg for rest and must be obeyed

I just got back from Texas, but I still need a vacation. A real one. November cannot get here fast enough.

evening rituals

a little oil in the bath
to ease today's tension
rub away the knots
the aches
stress
something from the cupboard
a treat to celebrate
or congratulate
appreciate
another day completed
a movie and a kitten
the final decent
into a well-deserved rest

I'm trying to be better about taking time for myself. Perhaps not daily, but I have been running on full throttle and need and want to slow down as the weather gets nicer (read warmer). So this bit of writing serves as encouragement and a reminder for me.

and miles to go

plan to learn time management
as in setting aside some for me
months begin open
quickly overfill and leave me exhausted

looking today there is little time left
for cleaning
for cuddling
for rest

may will come with the same promise
that i won't give it space to fulfill

the moment that i stop
what will happen
the moment that i don't
what will happen
the moment that i decline
what will happen
the moment
that i
sit still

I'm ready for the summer. Maybe I'll be able to really grab some time for myself then.
